Summer Shari'ah Course

Summer holiday is approaching once again, this is the time of the year when children have a lot of free time on their hands to engage in play and amusement many of what is unacceptable to Islamic teachings. It is extremely difficult to teach Islam in this secular society. Summer holiday therefore gives us a great opportunity to get our children participating in more Islamic activities. We must not forgo this opportunity to provide them with the identity of a Muslim and teach our children the Islamic way of life. Time is very precious and can be utilised better engaging in Islamic activities or else time will be wasted with children sitting in front of the television for hours . There are lots of Islamic summer schemes available for your children to participate in, amongst them is the Summer Shari'ah Course, running successfully for the past four years - alhamdulillah.

The Shari'ah Course is being organised by Young Muslim Organisation UK and Muslimaat UK in conjunction with East London Mosque acknowledging the need to bring the Muslim youth back to the basics of Islam. It provides an Islamic alternative to the summer holiday play schemes and aims to prevent the Muslim youth from participating in activities and pastimes which make them unmindful of Allah. Shari'ah course intends to provide your children with the basic knowledge and understanding of Islam through which they can distinguish between right and wrong and be re-identified with the real purpose of life. It provides a platform through which the children can obtain Islamic knowledge and also enjoy themselves.

Never have I witnessed such sincere hospitality and overwhelming spirit of true brotherhood as is practiced by people of all colors and races here in this ancient Holy Land, the home of Abraham, Muhammad and all the other Prophets of the Holy Scriptures. For the past week, I have been utterly speechless and spellbound by the graciousness I see displayed all around me by people of all colors.
